I just did this lil' repair for the friendly neighborhood postman. This here sentimentally valuable combat knife had been on a tour of Afghanistan and gotten run over by a tank. Somehow it was still less damaged than some of the kitchen knives I see here every day, but I digress. I retipped it, removed the chips, sharpened it, and even fixed up and resharpened the serrations, which were all kinds of screwy (swipe for more images). I only charged ten bucks for all that, because if there's anyone you want in your corner as a small business owner, it's your postman.
