Sarah's creature feature of the week!
She showed up at the farm last summer just when I was celebrating what I thought was the end of my barn cat Spay and Neuter extravaganza.
She was super shy and ran as soon as she saw anyone. I called her Cassie, like Casper the ghost. I picked her up only once to confirm she was indeed female. Boy, she was mad about that! I couldn't pet her but she slowly warmed up to me and would wiggle when I talked to her.
I thought she was exempt from needing spaying as she didn't have any kittens last summer, fall, winter, or this spring. Then one day she was rolling around early this summer and I could tell she was nursing. That baby was Button. After a few failed attempts to stop the kitten train, she had her next litter of 3 kittens-Alfie, Kennedy, and Cassidy.
Now she has been spayed and she is a love muffin!
