Work is work no matter what you do. Claiming you haven’t found your passion and bouncing from one thing to another is an easy way to avoid simply dealing with the annoyance of “working”. Take the gym for example, there’s some people who will claim to love working out. I could say I’m one of those people, but what I’d say we truly love about it is, the feeling of satisfaction from being active, progress and lifting a heavier weight, feeling better about how we look, accomplishing the next step, the OUTCOME of a healthier, better looking, more satisfied self and maybe even the challenge of working out in general. BUT, do we LOVE the BURNING feeling on that last leg extension rep? Not really if you ruled out everything else. It’s PAINFUL. So the ‘work’ is still the ‘work’ that part kinda sucks when you get to the bottom of it, but our desire for all of those other rewards tricks us into loving the process because we value the reward so highly. Understand this concept with your business, your career, sometimes even your relationships, and the discipline of it all will lead to a heck of a lot more fulfilment.
