🛑 S T O P ✋🏼 🛑 PLEASE READ 🛑 If I wasn’t being real I wouldn’t be me... Sooo this is a quick 411 on my life and my fitness journey at the moment ⬇️⬇️ Just a few months ago I was fit as a fiddle, I was almost at my goal weight, killing it everyday at the gym, working really hard to be better every single day and pushing myself to get it done. Now fast forward to right now, this very day! I’ve gained almost 15kgs! I’m not even close to my goal weight or even close on a fitness level of where I want be. What happened you might ask?!? I finally got real. I finally admitted I AM in a funk or as some might call it.. depressed. Now I’m sharing this because I want to be REAL and I want people to know it’s OKAY! I have bottled up sooo much of my past and so many emotions that I’ve never truly dealt with until now and I’m still learning to deal with these things. I was throwing myself into gym and work as much as I could as a distraction so I didn’t have to deal myself. Then after a few breakdowns, with the support of my friends I went and started the process of getting help. I went to the doctor and talked to them about what’s going on. I started ‘happy pills’ as I like to call them. Within the first few weeks I noticed I couldn’t control myself whenever I ate and all I wanted to eat was shit. I had also lost all motivation to go to the gym. This resulting in me gaining weight! Fast forward to now and I’m starting to feel better and starting to feel a little more motivated. Now with a new year approaching and me moving back home I know things will be back to normal in no time! So right now I feel disgusting and I’m disappointed in where I’m at fitness wise but I know this is only temporary and things will get better! I know I will come back 10 times better!! I still want to reach my goals and I still want to compete one day in the near future but sometimes you’ve gotta press pause. Stop what your doing and get help that you need so the whole you, mind, body and spirit can move forward. So I haven't worked out for a good 3 weeks due to the fact that I work in retail really busy and working odd hours so I'm tired... I am still getting around 20thousand steps a day . Currently sick AGAIN and can't train AGAIN. FML. Doing some research on the correlation between those like me with endometriosis and a weakened auto immune system. Knowledge is power, this is what I keep repeating to myself. However it's tough when people exclaim 'you're sick AGAIN, are you taking supplements? You work out too much, you should go easy and not push yourself so hard. Are you eating properly' etc etc. Look I'm thirty frickin' two, I look after myself, I'm taking supplements, I eat ridiculously healthy, I work out but look my reality is I have a chronic disease...a disease I'm trying to get my head around. 2017 has been a pretty tough year and I'm reminding myself today as I'm off work again that this is not my final destination. Time to reaccess and use the knowledge I'm gaining to make 2018 a healthier happier year.
