Moderation does not exist for everyone. It's a phrase that makes me cringe every time I hear it. Eat in moderation. I agree to a certain point.
But most people nowadays, with portion sizes much larger than they were years ago, they don't truly understand what moderation is and they, read you, are still eating far too much. Too much sugar, too much fat. Enjoying that pasta, croissant, wine, whatever it is, you may be having it far too often and hence it's hindering your fat loss goals.
If this is you, you may have to track religiously for a week or two everything that you eat. Read all the labels, weigh food, do what you need to so you can see where you really are and how much you eat. Some may just need to cut down on the number of snacks and treats they consume during the week, and will soon find that fat loss resumes again.
So don't sabotage your effort with this lying to yourself phrase of, everything in moderation. Moderation does not exist for you until you find out what that really is.
