I have no words today... Other than Dog Poisoning Awareness!
According to Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) in the last five years over 56,000 dogs have been poisoned (Kennel Club). While on the other side of world ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) claims that last year they have an incredible number of calls about dog poisoning incidents - 180,639!
The most common poison was medication, almost 35% dogs and cats had been poisoned with them.
Please be aware of the things your dog shouldn't be allowed to eat, chew or even lick. Such as chocolate, chemicals, rodent killers, grapes (even raisins), xylitol, alcohol, human foods, veterinary medication and supplements (overdose), cleaning supplies, paint, glue, insecticides, antifreeze, plants... And many more!
Due to last event (one of my best friend's dog had been poisoned to death with something she ate on a walk) I feel obligated to spread awareness on the walks!
Don't let your dog eat anything!
Teach him important commands like 'leave it', 'no', 'let go' and come back to your when called.
DM me if you would like to read about something specific.
