Doesnβt look like much. Typical snack. But to someone with anxiety that can cause a complete loss of appetite, itβs a big deal. Bad news brought on a full blown anxiety attack complete with high heart rate, sweating, and shaking. I had to eat. I didnβt want to. Nothing sounded good. But finally I mashed up a small amount boiled sweet potatoes with a pat of butter, salt, and pepper. That got my appetite up enough that I followed it up with this apple and natural peanut butter. Was this all in my meal plan? No. But when I donβt want to eat, itβs most important that I just eat something. The fact that I now crave healthy foods in times of needed comfort is a reflection of my lifestyle change. I didnβt gravitate to readily available junk food. I put good food in my stressed body ultimately helping it cope with the anxiety far better than any junk food would have.
