Today on #IamDoberman, we talk with the most recent addition to the Doberman family, UX Designer, Anne Hellman Vold, @voldswork. Keep reading!
Q. Welcome to Doberman Anne! What got you into design in the first place?
I thought I was going to work with literature and publishing. But after I got stuck working on the same web page every night I found web design to be more up my alley. When I realized the process of problem-solving and design from the users perspective, I just kept on rolling with it.
Q. What is your favorite aspect of design/UX?
The limitations. There’s always a lot of limitations and that’s fun! Then you have something to bounce off, that’s both challenging and liberating.
Q. What advice would you give any aspiring designers?
A great rule of thumb is to show your work to someone else as soon as possible, especially if you feel ashamed doing so. If you don’t feel ashamed you’ve probably overdone it.
